King High Trivia Night
Saturday March 28th 2015
at Gaspar’s Patio Bar and Grille from 6:00pm – 10:00pm.
All years of King HS and friends are encouraged to attend.

Join us for the King High School Relay For Life event on Saturday March 21 at 3pm.
The theme is Curing Powers Unite to Defeat Cancer, and each student team is a different superhero.
Relay is a our official school-wide service project, and a part of the American Cancer Society's mission.
The money raised by Relay supports research, awareness programs and services such as the Hope Lodge at Moffitt.
Relay For Life will be open to the public from 3pm -11pm with the beautiful luminaria ceremony being held at 9pm.
It is a special time to remember those we've lost to cancer and honor those we know who have survived.
Relay For Life is a family-friendly event full of activities, music, food, talent and lots of fun.

Student Art and Essay Contests:
Art and essay contests are open to students in Kindergarten to 12th grade.
The theme for this year’s essay and art contests is “A Celebration of African-American Innovation and Innovators.”
Students are asked to share how African-American innovators have shaped Florida.

The essay contest is open to all Florida students in grades 4 through 12.
Three winners will be selected: one elementary student (grades 4-5), one middle-school student (grades 6-8),
and one high school student (grades 9-12).
Winners will receive a four-year Florida College Plan scholarship provided by the Florida Prepaid College Foundation.

Former King student Ben Carpenter was selected to be one of the 12 athletes
to represent the United States in the FIFPA World Cup (Power Soccer).

King High took 1st Place at 2014 Hills Conuty Science Brain Bowl!  
This is a first in many years!
 As a result, the King Quiz Bowl team has won an all expense paid trip
to the Fla State Competition at UF in February.

King High volleyball player Mercedyz Mitchell
a key returning player from the Lions' 2013 district championship team,
has verbally committed to play at Ave Maria University,
a NAIA program located in the Southwest area of the state.
Mitchell, a setter, finished her junior season with 385 assists and 45 aces.
